Tag - I'm interested as well.

Last thread wasn't much but a bunch of complaining by folks that had never used one.  One of these times there will be some positive useful response by someone with invested time.  Not sure I am interested in getting one due to weight, but I am curios as to how well it really works.  My experience with Burris had been peaks and valleys.  But I know a few that really like the product line.  Hope this thread gets some feedback.

I've seen and heard good reviews and looked through one on a rifle. They seem like they would would quite well. The is a factor but wouldn't keep me from buying one if I could use it. Now if only Washington state would make them legal they might get some sales in this state.

Not legal for bows or muzzleloaders but has always been legal for modern firearm in the state of Washington.  It does not cast a visible beam onto the target so have at it - Legal!

Since you apparently did not believe any of the posts on the earlier thread ;)  Here it is in black and white directly from the WDFW.  http://wdfw.wa.gov/help/questions/69/Can+I+use+laser+sights+or+night+vision+devices+to+hunt%3F

Hope that helps clarify for you and others that have wondered the same thing.

I have played with them at the ShotShow, they are on my bucket list to try. . They worked and looked great indoors, but that could have been the gorgeous Blond handling that section of the booth.  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Rad,
Thanks for the info. I've been thinking all along that these would be cool if legal so now it looks like I'm going to have to pony up some cash in the future. I don't think the wife will be happy!

Just make sure you post up what you think about it.  I'd really like to hear from someone who has actually used it.

Have the Burris 1 on a 300 RUM. I have shot probably 250 rounds through it from 100 to 750 yds and after getting it dialed in and used to using it I love it. It is not a back around the woods scope or gun for that matter but for long range it works great. I have tried it in fog, rain, snow and it always read almost +/- 5 yds of the hand held range finder. The trigger to activate the range finder took me awhile to figure it out so I wouldn't move my position to range but everyone is different.

I have the Burris Eliminator lll mounted on a sako 7mm shooting 160 grain Nosler long range loads  and hitting a 6" pie plate @650 yards with a 4" group. at 850 yards with little wind  I'm hitting a 8" plated with a 6" group, they work grate but you need to pratice ALOT  and get your 500 yard drop right in your programming and only shoot that load.I use this set up when I'm glassing clear cuts or in open ares.IF you pack in, and hunting hard in the brush this not a good choice.that being said we l go hunting I TAKE TO RIFLES my Burris and my 270 with my Nikon BDC SET UP
Grill it, fry it, smoke it or just eat it raw

A good friend here has the 1st Gen and loves it.  It shoots well and holds zero on his .300 winmag.  The only negative he has with it is it does not work well in very low light applications.  Light transmission is important here with the night hunting.  Not as big of an issue in Washington.
