 Thats an interesting  statement at bottom of your posts."Never pass on the first day what you would take on the last day".I have a similar but a somewhat different/backwards rule. Mine is best staed as "never take anything late in a hunt that you wouldn't take on the first day".

I was watching "Hunting for the Holidays" and one of the hunters said that...I thought it was clever, so I stole it. 

This year I passed on several white tails...I still havent taken a buck (few days left for archery)...I think I should have stuck to that saying...
