I've got the Sitka Mountain pants too...I'd not wear these when it's hot out. They'd be too warm. Maybe up to 60 or so degrees I'm good in them. Above that, they're too much for me.

Exactly right there

thank you guys!  I ordered a pair of the Sitka Ascents.

Good choice!  I don't think you will regret spending the money unless you hunt a lot of briars.  Those are the pants that started me using Sitka.  Now I rarely ever wear anything else all season long.  If only they would offer a mimicry pattern again!
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Hot days both my dad and I use  cotton pj bottoms in camo. It's cheap and super super light. They are really nice on 90+ degree days.

Kuiu has a pant specially designed for warm weather.
Forgot he name.   Nice pants.
Old enough to know better.
Young enough to go for it.

Kuiu Tiburon is about the best hot weather pants out there. Much better than the Acsents for hot weather. The Acsents pants are lightweight and have great stretch, but the lining they use makes my legs bead up with sweat quickly.

I bought some woolrich pants on the mens clearance rack at sportsmans before they went out of business or changed names...best lightweight cargo pants ever wore the heck out of them then last fall following that stupid buck I wrecked em barbed wire took em out, and now I cannot find another pair and I am so sad.  I hate pants so finding some I liked wearing was a huge ordeal.

I see the original poster already found his pants but I wanted to throw out what I use. If you don't need (or want) camo these are awesome at less than half the price of the high end hunting clothes.

I'm just trying to find something a little lighter for early season.

Early season gear is UA Ridge Reaper scent lock for me. The light stuff. Breathes well and sheds moisture
