Black Rapid product review

Bought my dream lens, and it came today, but a product I purchased with it was this carry strap. I have always hated the Canon neck strap. Kind of dealt with it as i didn't know any different. Was reading online and came upon this.
It fits amazing and keeps the camera at hands reach. Minimal neck strain. May give feedback later after using for awhile, but initial impression is favorable.

I recently made the same purchase.  Have been very satisfied so far, made it much more comfortable dragging my SLR around Disneyland for 3 full days.

Love my Black Rapid Classic RS-4 Strap!
I have had it for four years, could not imagine carrying a camera without it. The little pockets on the strap are the perfect size for an extra battery and a few flash cards!
I keep the quick detach plate from my tripod attached to the swivel, then just swap out detach plates to use my tripod.

I'm having trouble picturing how you use the plates with this? I don't have any of my gear with me so I can't try it right now.

I think my post was confusing - The swivel for the strap attaches to the bottom of the quick detach plate for the tripod that is attached to the camera. When I want to use the tripod, just detach the swivel and slide the plate in the tripod and lock.

I've been using a neoprene wrist strap and I love it. Agreed. No more silly neckstrap!

I like the idea of that too, just not while hiking. I just picked up the 70-200 f2.8 and it is significantly heavier than the f4.
I may get the wrist strap for soccer games and such for added security for holding onto the 7D body with all that weight
