I have a VariX-II that I have had for many years, had M1 turrets installed on it and it tracked flawlessly. It's my floater and loaner scope. I switch it all over the place, it's been on 20 plus rifles and AR's over the years and been with several other people on their rifles for their hunting season. The only reason I kept that scope for so long is that it tracked perfectly with the turret adjustments. Which is more than I can say for several of the Mk4's & LR's I have purchased and owned since. I did shake the adjustable adjective loose and had to send it back to Leupold to have it worked over but that was due to 100 or so 500gr .450 Ultra Magnum loads off the bench. Of course the service was free and it was back to me in 10 days.

I believe I only paid 275.00 shipped for that scope off the Long Range Hunting Forum "Classifieds".

This sounds very similar to the old Mk 2 scopes. I had one for a while before I sold it to a friend. It was a great scope; I'd buy another one in a second.

I only paid $125 for the scope and see them going on eBay for $500

I did some research and it has got good reviews....it will be going on a weatherby mark v ultralight 30-06 with 150gr partition handloads and I just wanted a scope that would let me shoot 600yds fairly easily....I was going to save up for the cds and send the 3-9 vx2 I had in for the cds upgrade until this scope fell in my lap....it should work for me
