Shot me a chocolate spring bear (with my camera)

I took my hiking partner, Baxter for a hike today. We ran into this chocolate bear feeding in the fresh grass along the road. I like hiking up roads that the traffic is not pounding this time of year to see what is feeding along them.

Baxter and I watched this bear for a little bit until it disappeared out of sight. We could hear it in the woods so we just turned around and headed the way we came from. I wanted to leave it undisturbed to do it's thing. I believe it never saw us even though we were pretty darn close to it.  I always wonder how many people just drive around and scare the animals away and never know what they miss.

Just another great day in the outdoors.

Great pics!  Dark chocolate bears are the prettiest of all IMB.

And I relate to watching an animal and then sneaking away without it ever knowing you were there.  Never analyzed why it is a pleasure but it is.

Very nice bear. It is amazing what you see when you slow down and appreciate the great outdoors. I love going on long hikes in the spring when everything is coming alive. Wish I had a spring tag this year so I'd get out there more.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!
