Shot me a chocolate spring bear (with my camera)
« on: May 31, 2014, 03:24:28 PM »
I took my hiking partner, Baxter for a hike today. We ran into this chocolate bear feeding in the fresh grass along the road. I like hiking up roads that the traffic is not pounding this time of year to see what is feeding along them.

Baxter and I watched this bear for a little bit until it disappeared out of sight. We could hear it in the woods so we just turned around and headed the way we came from. I wanted to leave it undisturbed to do it's thing. I believe it never saw us even though we were pretty darn close to it.  I always wonder how many people just drive around and scare the animals away and never know what they miss.

Just another great day in the outdoors.

Nice find! :)
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

Great pics!  Dark chocolate bears are the prettiest of all IMB.

And I relate to watching an animal and then sneaking away without it ever knowing you were there.  Never analyzed why it is a pleasure but it is.

Very nice bear. It is amazing what you see when you slow down and appreciate the great outdoors. I love going on long hikes in the spring when everything is coming alive. Wish I had a spring tag this year so I'd get out there more.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!
