I do not but just a week ago I saw a group of people in the Kent Valley heading out to a field with a bunch of beagles and a huge hawk.
My sister sold a beagle to someone that is in a club and they use the beagles to flush the rabbits and the hawk grabs them!
Looked really cool

I've been kind of interested in it for the last few months, but I don't think I have the time to commit. I am meeting up with a local guy in a few weeks to go see his birds and his setup. Hopefully I'll get to hunt with him too. I'll have to talk to him about the commitment, but it looks like it's at least 4 hours per week all year long. Big licensing process too if you haven't looked into it.

I personally don't but a friends brother does somewhere up around seattle. Uses a female red tail hawk.

I used to watch a guy in my neighborhood hunt with them when I was a kid.
I am just looking for someone that wouldn't mind me tagging along for a day.

I know 2 guys with hawks. It is their main sport... One guy has 2 hawks and the rabbit quail etc he catches feeds only the hawks. I heard a falconer saying."One haw one wife, 2 hawk single man!" The one guy with 2 hawks uses Jack Russell to chase the rabbits /quail around. It is amazing to go with him... seen some cool stuff. one guy has Goss Hawks and the other had a Redtail.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

I hate reviving dead threads... But I hate starting new ones that already have topics on them already...
I'm a licensed Falconer, and I live near Spokane. I actually joined this group to see about trying to find Cottontail, as I am apparently one of the few Falconers in this side of the state that hunt rabbits haha. Anyone have any questions, feel free to ask. It'd be even better if someone can direct me towards some bunny spots or people to ask for permission!
Cheers,
Matt
