I'm looking at either the zip or the flash. Any suggestions?

My son has the flash. And it seems like it takes forever to boil water, it uses a lot of fuel.

It really depends on where you will be camping. I have an MSR whisperlite international. I found it on ebay for 79$ shipped new in the box.

It is more versatile than the jetboil and it will boil water faster.

I have the flash and am pretty happy with it, that said if I weren't using it just for hot drinks and mtn house, I would look at something else with better burner control, it'd be nice to be able to simmer, or cook at a tempature that isn't all out.

But, for what its used for, it is awesome.

JDB what are you going to be doing with it? Backpacking? Altitude? It makes a difference.

I've been using the Flash for several years. It only takes forever if you fill it completely, other than the water is normally done before I"m ready for it.

I got the flash for Christmas and have been loving it. Boils water fast in the cup and you can set a pot or pan on top of it if you want in stead of the cup

I have both the Jet Boil and MSR Reactor.  Hands down the Reactor is the best stove I've ever had, man does it boil fast!  This thing is a cooking rocket.  Since purchasing the Reactor I have not used my jet boil at all.  It cost a little more but it is well worth it.

I've never used the Reactor, but from all the people I've talked to, it is far superior to the Jetboil.  I might just have to retire the ole Jetboil and cough up a little more money.

I have the flash. Boils water in 2 minutes and the tank will last a weekend. Make sure your purchase is after the recall.
I will hunt everywhere before I die
