Acorn Scent Away

I've been seeing Scent Away (Acorn) advertised on CamoFire recently; something like 80 0z for $9.99. For those of you who spray down and believe in it, do you think using the acorn scent in an area where there is no oak trees is going to work, or is it an alarm to the elk and deer since it is a foreign smell?
