I shoot a Mathews LX, but I do not support any one company over another as being the bow to shoot. Mathews was the bow I liked the most after trying them all. Sales/Marketing is not rocket science, and Mathews will sell few of the Monster compared to the Reezen. The fastest most radical bows sell, but are not the major sellers for any company. Remember the Short Mags!!!! Gun stores could not give them away a year or so after they came out. No one wanted them, and few UM's are sold compared to standard calibers. Yes they sell, but they are not the bread and butter.
Most archers have a hard time with the harsh draws and other issues with extreme speed on cutting edge equipment. Mathews is an extremely successful company, and I don't think this is their first ever dbl cam. They pioneered the single cam hence their slogan, but that will never limit them from other options. Still better I don't see any other single cam pushing a claimed 340. I will stick with my LX until someone comes up with a bow that shoots my arrow as smooth, quiet, 10% faster, same poundage with good feel. Then it is time for a new bow. It is always amazing how the Chronograph and pull guage seem to stop all the loud screaming about how fast a bow is. So I am looking forward to giving the Reezen and even the Monster a try. I doubt I will go with a 5" brace as my archery hunting is usually in the cold, and I have a lot of heavy clothes on.
I did not like the X-Force draw and shot, so let's see if Mathews can actually step up the true top level for a hunting bow. Worst case scenario I have to shoot that old (5 going on 6) junky LX that kills like lighting.
