Post up your Elk Sounds Thread - Anyone interested?
« on: June 09, 2014, 08:56:05 PM »
I've ran a bunch of these on Elknut and AT over the years.  They seem to do pretty well and from what I've seen, have helped some folks up their calling game.  Is anybody interested in a thread where you post up your elk sounds (cow/calf herd noises, bull, special elk sounds, i.e., estrus buzz, nervous grunt, etc.) and receive some positive/constructive feedback on how to potentially improve your calling?  The feedback would come from hunters like you and I and possibly, some top notch callers.  Is anyone interested in something like this on the HW elk forum?  RJ

I think it would be helpful and a good way to get ready for the season.

Sounds like a good idea. Maybe inform people on a few different options of posting sound clips. RJ, how did you post the iPhone sound clips?

I'll research that when I get home later.  I don't believe HW accepts an M4A file (Iphone) but will accept an MP3 file as an attachment.  They'll have to be converted.  I'll take a look later and see if I have an easy way to do this.  RJ

I have a downloaded converter that will really, convert almost any recording to something that will work on HW Forum. If you cats want to do this, we'll make it happen. RJ
