Let's hear what special permits everyone has drawn and how it has turned out.

I drew a Chiliwist late buck permit in 2001. Shot a 4X4. Not much weather that year.

I pulled a moose permit with 3 points in 2002.  About gave me a heart attack.  I still haven't even drawn a deer tag yet.  Most of you have seen how it turned out.  A nice Boone/Pope and Young Shiras.  Since then, the obsession of moose hunting has taken over.  More than one dollar has been spent scouring the planet for the next moose hunt.

i have only put in 1 time for muzz elk and did not get drawn. this will be my first year for deer. nothing else ever for me. i'm still learning the ropes. I guess as a transplant from the northeastern U.S. i was always just happy with the general season. i started doing some looking into permits a couple years ago, but didn't apply.

Well I drew Entiat in '04 with 3 points. Posted pictures in this forum already as you all probably have seen. In 2000 I drew the Umtanum permit and killed a small 4 point the first day. I should have waited for a better one, but it was still a fun hunt. Of course Umtanum is now back to a general season hunt. I heard the indians were killing all the big bucks on their winter range in that unit anyway, so the WDFW decided there was no use in keeping it a limited permit unit. I don't know if there's any truth to it, but it makes sense. Anywhere there's easy road access and trophy bucks concentrated in a relatively small area during the winter, they're going to get hit hard by the tribal members.

I drew a Mission tag in 03 and got a nice buck.  Nothing too special though.

Ive drawn branch antler bull in the Yakima area twice in the past 5 yrs and Ive drawn mule deer rut hunts twice in the past 6 yrs, one of which was the desert tag right here in Moses.  My brother and I partner on these hunts and while Ive had some success on the hunts he by far has done better.  The hunting is always great with a special draw tag...whether you get the big one a little one or just eat tag soup I've always had a great time in the pursuit!

We won't even talk about how many deer tags this guy has pulled.  Since one of the natives ran off with his prized gun and his computer and his pictures, I'll post a couple in his honor. You'll have to correct em if I am wrong, I have trouble enough remembering my own deer and what year.  I believe these are the Slide Ridge bucks. NOOOOO I take that back I don't know where you got these.

lets see, havent been putting in for super long, maybe 8 years now or 9 not sure. Same with my dad.  I have drawn a cow tag for umtanum unit my first year. also a cow tag for peshastin, and my late swakane deer tag in 05. my dad has drawn umtanum cow tag, a Peshastin Bull tag, a couple years ago, late rifle Mission Tag in 01 or 02 shot an awesome 30 inch, which scores in the high 180's and then the WA RAFFLE Permit this last year. And we know what that buck looks like and the story.  just started putting in for sheep and moose so maybe i will draw with 1 point haha, and then i have 4 points for elk so i might draw.
