Nice Bull, looking forward to this tag! Does anyone know how hard the general season interest it gets?

I think it depends on where you are in the unit, but in general I think this unit gets less general elk season pressure than most.  I would imagine the private gets hit fairly hard, but the public land is pretty nasty to be chasing spikes in.  That being said, my buddies and me always end up spending a few days down in the hell hole looking for them.  Of course this is during rifle general season, but I bet the same holds true for archery and muzzy seasons.

Which of the hell holes are you considering "the Hell Hole"? I've heard it referenced before. I need to know what to avoid :chuckle:

I would consider pretty much the entire NFS portion of the unit one big hell hole  :chuckle:, but we usually end up in the Menatchee Creek drainage and consider that the whole drainage as "The Hell Hole".  I'm sure everyone who hunts the unit has there own personal hell hole though.  This unit and all of the other border units of the blues are full of them.

yes that was a rifle bull.  My buddy shot him out of his bed 25 minutes into the hunt. We watched him in the days leading up to the hunt. Heres another pic after he decided to roll another hundred yards.

That is a nice bull congrats, I have two nephews that have drawn this unit three times for archery and  tagged out with 350 class bulls. Now after nine years it is finally my turn to hunt this unit and hopefully at least see some bulls of this caliber, and I cannot wait  :IBCOOL:  Thanks to everyone who is / posted with info on this sight it is very appreciated.
