I am also thinking of getting an AR-15 in the future as I want to start coyote hunting. 

I'm looking at either the RRA Predator Pursuit (20" barrel) or a Bushmaster Varnminter. Does anyone like one or the other better?

I have just now started getting interested in these rifles, and am starting to reseach on the web at AR15.com, etc...

Wish I got into this sooner!  Only experience with these type of rifles is the colt M16 A2 service rifle while I was in the USMC.

I have an RRA Varmint and it shoots great...3shots in one hole twice on saturday with BlackHills 60gr ballistic tips.  shoots 77gr matchkings all day long, 5 touching.
Easy.
It is heavy.
The price for a heavy stainless barrel.
I like the predator pursuit alot....also coyote.
RRA 2-stage trigger is the best factory trigger in the industry.
Great piece.
Buy one.

thats a good lookin set-up...so why do you have to buy the reciever seprate? and how much are they?

The reciever is the actually "firearm", it is what is registered. When I bought mine a year and a half ago they were about $125. I don't know what the y go for now.

 I'm getting 1.5 " groups.

one of the cheapest coyote rounds i think on the market.... but like any other, y can buy expensive, or cheap crap. i like to think of my gun as a woman, buy it nice stuff and it will return the favor when it counts

Here is my RRA 20" varmint gun with the two stage trigger. Real good shooting gun. Only thing I don't like is it's heavy.

The scope mount is RRA

The scope is the Cabelas Tactical turret 3X12 scope. Made for .223 and .204 guns.

My cousin has that same RR that Craig has. Its fun to shoot, zero recoil but yeah, its super chunky.
