There have been fire prohibitions in WODWA in past dry years-I remember one back about '07 when we were backpacking Chinook to White.  They're infrequent, but the way this year is setting up it wouldn't surprise me to seem some August into September. I'm eager to get back up in there myself to fish the lakes, camp, etc.

Been hunting Early Archery around Cash Prairie since 08.  The further you get from the road the better. Too many road hunters.

Went out this last weekend and all we saw were hikers and people driving up and down the roads.  Maybe they were road scouters since bear doesn't open for another two weeks.

It is pretty crowded.  The fact that little naches is closed makes it the only option for the high country in Yakima.  South rainier on the west side also puts pressure on the animals on the west side of the unit.

Forgot to say the bugs are bad and with an early start this year they will still be around if we don't get a freeze.  Take bug spray.
