I pulled out this year so it doesnt matter what they raise their prices too. I am starting to think its foolish for the future of hunting to have a smaller base of paying customers (aka hunters that also vote) than a larger base but that's "just my opinion."

I am starting to think its foolish for the future of hunting to have a smaller base of paying customers (aka hunters that also vote) than a larger base but that's "just my opinion."For elk, MT nonresidents pay 96% of the cost.A tag going up $500 in a single swoop doesn't bode well for the future of hunting in my opinion. Good news for those that can afford it I guess. We seem to be in a period where the states are racing to figure out what price results in the maximum revenue without regarding the heritage or affordability. The end game is some guy paying $5 million to buy one tag and hunt by himself.
