Sitka Bivy 45?

Has anyone used one or heard how this pack performs? Looking at a new pack that will hold enough for a multi day hunt.

I don't have this pack personally, but I have the Bivy 30, and it is great, except for one thing. It is really heavy, so it ups your pack weight quite a bit, and if you're like me, and you are seriously looking to go light, it might be an issue. But that said, a lot of guys who are more hardcore than myself and who have more experience use even heavier packs. The Bivy is pretty tough, and fairly comfortable. But for 450 bucks, spend a little more and get a Mystery Ranch.

I agree with Oly777, for $450, you can buy a better pack, or add a little more and get a great pack. I've owned lots of packs but never any Sitka's.  Based on my experiences and reviews from other hunters on sites like this, my pack choices in order would be;

Kifaru (currently own and use)
Stone Glacier (never owned, great reviews)
Exo (never owned, great reviews)
Horn Hunter Full Curl (currently own, son uses, you can also get this pack for about $350)
Mystery Ranch(never owned, bullet proof, but short frame length)
Kuiu(never owned, reviews on latest model are good)

I believe one of our members had a 45 blow out a shoulder strap on it first heavy pack out in 2011 or 2012. if you have the extra cash I would look American made MR SG, Kifaru etc.

X-force brings up a good point that I meant to include in my information.  Of the packs that I listed, the first 5 brands are all made in the USA, I believe that Kuiu and Sitka are made overseas.

The Bivy 45 will work fine for what you mentioned, but it wouldn't be my choice. The others listed above pretty much sum up most of the higher end packs these days minus a few. If I was in your boat, I'd look at an Eberlestock pack. Tons of models. Take a look at the J34 or the Team RMEF.  Also the Gunslinger 2 and the X1 are good choices.

I have that pack and love it.  I am self admittedly ocd when it comes to organization and this pack works great for me.  I also have put over 100 pounds of weight in it for a moose hunt two years ago and it didn't even blink an eye.  It was very comfortable and felt like I was carrying much less.  I used to have an eberlystock j34 and with a pack loaded with 100+ pounds, it felt like 150.  Plus my ocd killed me because there was so few pockets.  Hope this helps.  Another plus with the sitka is their customer service.  I have broken two buckles because it took a fall down a hill and landed on a rock, I was more beat up than the pack.  Sitka replaced the buckles no questions asked and was very quick to take care of it.

There is a Flash 32 pack marked down to $200 on Rokslide. I bought most of the Sitka gear he listed and he is great to deal with. Everything was in great condition and shipping was very fast. Had such a great transaction and great price that I decided to buy another Sitka item he had listed. I don't have any experience with the pack, but thought I would give you feedback on the seller.
