Seems to me you're paying too much for the propriety camo patterns and not for a quality pack when it comes to the Sitka line.  :dunno:

Would getting it 50% off make it more appealing? $225?

Look, I've been in your shoes. You don't want to justify spending the money on a pack. But that Sitka is trash.

If money is the issue, buy a KUIU ultra, or find a used Bora 80/90  (150$?).

But buying gear for the backcountry based on what's on sale is a mistake IMO.

just orderd the sitka 45 . im hoping it does what im wanting it too
be careful going in search of adventure its ridiculously easy to find.
