As of right now in this part of the river selective rules do not apply again until Sept 1st so yes, they are allowed for this fishery.

The way I read it on page 25 of the regs selective rules do not apply from June 14 -29. Others say until Sept 1. Either way the sockeye fishery is good for barbed hooks.

Nice one ...you may want to call the fish Biologist and let them know you found one ...They sure in the heck are not anywhere near my fishing hole  I am done unless they decide to reopen it when the fish get here ..But there is a New problem to deal with ...They shut down all commercial shrimping So a guy wants shrimp you will need to go dig your own ...something about saving whales  I am about drained from all this BS ...I may just sell all my rods 

been slow for sure, about 1/50th of two years ago but has really picked up the last few days hopefully we have a decent lake fishery

actually as far as lower river travel I would say 20th or 25th of June, previous yrs it seemed like it was slowing down a little by the 1st.  Hopefully there late and this is just the start!

Nails ..you seem to be the only one catching fish  great job ! They sure in the heck are not up river about 5 miles where I fish ..me and the wife drove down to the soccer fields in Burlington yesterday and this morning and no one is getting anything ...just crazy !! Know of 9 people fishing right now and they have not even seen a bite ...usually by this time I am giving them away ...just unbelievable ...hopefully they give us a few more days but I doubt it !!! Good job ! glad someone will be eating good on the 4th

I had to literally bring over a couple of my fishing buddies and show them so they would believe me .......They said he bought them from the Indians  Do not worry nails I have your back ...I shut them all down when they started running their mouths  My boys have been at all morning and nothing ...Just not normal when they can not club a fish in the head  hopefully your killing more

    If you aren't catching them John I think singleshot12 must be right! Didn't fish today, saving freezer space for when the REAL runs come in on the mighty Fraser.

when do they come into the Frazer ? trying to talk my fishing buddy into heading up there ...I need to explore somewhere other than Washington ...Never been there !

 It'll ruin ya! Opens the 16th of July for kings under 77 cm until the 28th. It should then open to all kings. Sockeye will open the minute they determine enough fish are returning. I'll hazard a guess of Aug. 1st. Giver or take a week. Should be fantastic until 1st or 2nd week in Sept. Last time this run came in (4 yrs ago) the kids and I put 44 sockeye in the freezer. 10 kings as well. About like getting an elk! That run was estimated at 35 million. They are predicting 72 million this year. Over a 40 day run that's an average of 75,000 fish an hour going by you.
