Nice ...We were filling our feeder about every 2 days but we noticed in the last couple days that they have not been around as much  :dunno: have any idea were they went ?

More than likely nesting. Or your neighbors eats are better.   :chuckle:
A month from now is about the time the Rufous will start thinking it's time to go south.  The Anna's will typically hang until September but also may hang for the winter.

No humming bird expert but when you have 9 or so around on an every day bases and then they disappear you have to get on HW to find the answer ... :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle: LMAO !

My mix is 4-1, 1c boiled, cooled off h20 and 1/4c. sugar. Been that way for years and we have residents that stay year round. Maybe better Google it and see what the right recipe is. If it's too sweet you'll kill the little guys.

This is the same as I've used for years.

so every body is using sugar? I got some of this stuff with my feeder on Amazon. It must not be that good. My neighbor across the street I am sure uses sugar herself. She is really an organic type.

Just to carry this through. I had already cleaned out my feeder yesterday and used that over the counter food. Today I cleaned it out again and made a batch of real sugar water mix and wa-la I saw more humming birds tonight than the last two months combined. You guys have it.  :tup:
