Big day for the lab pup
« on: June 22, 2014, 08:29:32 PM »
We were visiting friends that live on Filucy Bay today and our 15 week old lab decided it was time to swim. Without coaxing she jumped off the dock and swam for shore. I think it surprised her a bit, she wouldn't do it again. A few hours later she walked in from the beach and went for a swim.

She also learned not to drink salt water; the hard way. She drank from the bay before I could stop her and a while later she wined a bit, got up and dug a hole and barfed up her lunch then used her nose to fill the hole with dirt.  I've never seen a dog do that before.

My lab pup, Rex,  had the same big day!  Learned he was a lab and can swim.  He is 15 weeks old.  I took him and my 10 yr old lab down to the hood canal today to throw balls for them, and Rex actually went in past his paws and swam after it.  Not a real good swimmer yet, but he swam.

Lily is also 15 weeks olds and had help from her older brother, and I but she is well on her way to becoming a water dog too...she also enjoys boat rides, fishing and her down time on the beach.

Jasmine is a little older than the other pups in this thread, she 7 months, but she still has "big days".   :chuckle:

This last weekend Jasmine had her first boat ride.

Hunt hard and shoot straight!
