Bow and arrow stand for your range
« on: June 25, 2014, 09:38:30 PM »
I got tired of always bending over to grab my bow or arrows in my back yard range so I put  this together. Took about  30 minutes and cost $20.
Works great! If you need specs, let me know
It can hold 2 bows and about 24 arrows,

Nice.  Add a couple of 1x2s in the vertical tubes, and you'd have a multifunction target stand bow/arrow holder.

Nice job.  Did you need to add weights to the end with arrow holders to keep the weight of the bow from making it fall over?

Even if it did, With its design you can just tip it forward.

Size of pipe doesn't matter. I used inch and half

Looks good.

Be sure to drill some drain holes in the bottom if left outside so your field tips aren't sitting in water rusting away.

Ok.....so my message box is filling up with spec requests. I'll i can tell you is go buy the following:

10 foot section of PVC pipe (I used inch and half)
4 90deg elbows
4 T adapters
2 end caps (optional)

Take a look at the pics I posted, you will see how it goes together.
Here are my rough measurements. Keep in mind you don't have to fully seat the connections when gluing so measurements could vary.

The two sections that hold arrows are 12 inches
Main beam for bow is 31ish
The two sections that hold bows are around 6 inches
The three sections between the arrow holders are 3 inches
The 2 pieces between the bow holder  T connector is 6 inches

The base of the holder including connectors is around 20x20

Hope that helps.

You won't need more that 10 feet of pipe unless your bow is very long requiring a longer section to hold the bow.

Anything needed to weigh it down so it does not tip or does it work fine the way it is ?

Isn't that what the end caps are for?  :dunno:
