Kuiu Icon 7200

I'd like to hear some feedback about this pack. I'm strongly considering buying the 2013 model.

My hunting partner bought one last year, and he really likes it. He's used it on 4 or 5 multi-day trips, and weekly training hikes, with no complaints.

Just don't lay it flat and sit on it. I'd pony up for a kifaru or you'll likely be shopping again within a couple years.

At the prices the Kuiu's are selling for on clearance, you could buy a couple of them before you spent enough to buy 1 Kifaru.
I have a Kuiu pack and I like it a lot. They do have a reputation of breaking frames. I think if you're careful with it....i.e. don't sit on it, don't throw it off of a cliff, etc. you'd probably be fine. The '13 has the latest upgrades and don't break near as often as the older ones. Mine blows my mind when I compare it to any of my old packs. That 7200 will be a huuuuge bag.

The Kuiu packs suck. Don't buy it. They shatter like glass in a strong wind.

i think the icons actually look like the more comfortable option. you might not want to put 100+ on it, but from what i saw of the ultra, even though it doesnt break, you wouldnt want 100 in it either...

Ive had opportunity to put about 60 pounds in my Kuiu the last 4 nights and go for a good walk and its a pretty comfortable pack. Much better than I've ever used.

Could anyone please post a pic of any Kuiu pack activley hauling elk quarters or capes and elk horns, or bear hides. Not sure if im digging the whole meat under the pack idea. Guess what im yammering aboutis that it appears the pack is mainly a sheep/deer pack.  Anyone here used one succesfully for elk?

I've got a 6000 and a 3000 bag. The meat goes outside the pack on the 6000  and inside the bag with the 3000. I don't have any pictures of it with meat but there are options.
As Fillthefreezer mentioned, I don't think they're designed to haul 100+ pound loads.
