shooting rests
« on: July 18, 2014, 12:48:59 PM »
What is everyone using for a shooting rest in steeper terrain? I can't decide on a bipod or shooting sticks.

I'm not gonna be backpacking or have a pack big enough for resting a rifle on so that option is out the window.
I have used a small waste pack in the past resting on a stump for a couple shots. But it was never quite as steady as I'd like.

I had 2 friends use my hiking sticks this spring in the wenaha.

Just cross the straps over that handles. They're adjustable for steep and uneven ground and pretty solid.

That's not a bad idea at all.
