I heard at the end of the late season last year that all of the know branched bulls were shot in this area.  Didn't quite believe it, but this is the first legal bull I've got on camera this year.  There were quite a few spikes last year here but, still haven't located them yet.  :bash: They should be legal this year. This bull just showed up yesterday, so maybe more will follow.

Oh wow! I thought it was only until about the middle of July. So he could potentially put on another 30 or so inches?

Looks to me like his tops will grow a bit... but nowhere near 30 inches. Mid july they will be done for the most part.

Dag nabbit...I wanted my first elk to be a 300 class bull.  :chuckle:  He will do just fine though.

Yeah, that weird point is kinda cool looking.. Pretty unique for a first bull! Now ya just gotta find him come hunting season! Should be no mistaking him though!
