From what I have seen, once the "ball" is gone from the tip, the antler doesn't grow larger.
I believe those thirds could become a bit more defined in the following week. That could in turn add an insignificant amount of length. But once that velvet comes off it will seem as though he's lost 40% of his size regardless of what those four and fives turn out to be. He looks thin even with the velvet!
I would never give anyone the slightest bit of sincere grief for shooting that bull. But he is just not impressive enough to score yet. Maybe in another four or five years he could become a masher. And he definitely is unique with that brow so far to the inside of the pedicle. If you are looking for a bull that makes book...this guy is not at all close.
I bet he would taste GREAT!
