Coweeman unit... is it pay to play this year or is it still fair game?

You will need a Weyerhaeuser St. Helens permit. Coweeman is about 99% owned by Weyerhaeuser.

The good news is it's only $150.

And you better hurry up, there are only 13,830 permits left!   :chuckle:  At the rate they are going, I doubt if they will sell them all out this year.  I wonder if hoof rot is keeping folks away?   :dunno:

I am sure that has something to do with it. I also think there are a lot of people that don't know yet and there are a lot of people that will continue to hunt the area but not buy the permit.

That area might be worth the $150 if there was a way to keep the quads away. That's probably another reason there is a fee now. All the damage quads do because the riders aren't willing to follow the rules.

Where do I buy that? Also, when I buy it do they give all permit holders keys to the gates?
