Bowtech's doin that in their sleep huh, those must be some pretty wild Bowtech dreams, just joshin ya archery288 but I couldn't help myself.   :chuckle: By the way, have you seen the latest crackerized Admiral up on AT?  Wow, that thing is cool.  To the original OP, I'm in the same boat as you looking for a new bow.  Check out a couple of my posts here titled something like, "My quest for a new bow" parts 1 and 2.  There should be a little bit of info in there for ya.  However, I would strongly recommend that you go out and shoot as many as you can.  What feels good to me may not to you since we all have different body styles.  Having said all of this, the Alphamax is still at the top of my list.  I think on Friday I am going to buy a Mathews however.  This one will be for my daughter for Christmas, the Mathews aka Mission Menace.

I am going with the Menace because she is needing a super low poundage draw bow.  I'm working with her making her do pushups every morning and evening to improve her strength.  (I'm a meanie).  The menace I think goes down to 15 or 16 pounds.  She was pretty bummed when I had her trying some higher poundage bows last weekend so this Menace is gonna be a total surprise for her on Christmas morning.

fun stuff, also have her do rows with a band or light weight, the main muscles for pulling a bow are the rhomboids (middle of your back) and the rotator cuff muscles.....

Yea the top two that I like right now are (and this coule change) the PSE x-force and the mathews drenalin. I have not had the opportunity to try the alphamax. I have shot bowtechs (not all of them) and just about everything else under the sun except that alphamax. I am going to try and giver a launch this weekend. What do you boys prefer I believe it is the 35 and 32 correct?

I'm still not sure which one I preferred between the 32 and the 35.  I initially thought the 32 but as I replayed everything over in my head and thought more about the 35 the more I thought I need to shoot them both again.  When I pick up my daughter's bow this week I will probably shoot them again.

The Alpha 35 seems to draw smoother and hold a little nicer than the 32. I actually ordered the Mathews Reezen 7.0 best of both worlds IMO a little more speed and the smooth draw of a single cam. Might want to give that one a try if you have not already.

I love the 35..... its perfect, I shot the rezen yesterday.... I hope you dont have a super long draw length.. that 340IBO is great but good luck gettin a good group anywhere near that speed.. its not all about speed like so many guys buy based on....

Actually I do have a short draw length, I am hoping to maintain my current 267 fps with less pounds of draw weight. I'm not a speed freak by any means and would rather have good braodhead flight and accuracy than a super sonic bow.

Jbar---- so how do you like that Reezen? What do you think of it? I thought it had a little to much hand shock. :twocents: have you hunted with it yet. I thought it was nice but something about it just didn't feel right and I really do not know what it was..

Have not gotten mine yet, only shot the demo bow. I ordered the 7.0, I wanted the extra BH. I thought the same thing about the hand shock but I had a sims s-coil put on and it eliminated 95% of the vibration. I liked how smooth it came back even with the draw length 2 inches too long and the slightly more radical cam design. I put an arrow through the crono with the demo bow set at 70# 416 g arrow at 304 fps. Little fast for me but at 27 inch draw and 65# it should be a good shooter.  Can't wait to get it set up and shooting, I would guess I should have it before the end of the month.

they have been around longer, but not making compounds the whole time, dont you recall the break in the mid 90's till about 2000? hoyt was still spittin em out, I guess you can count bear/jennings.. but I wouldnt.....one day brent one day you will see why your $330 bow is not the same as a upper end bow.. on so many levels really.........
