Capes should be in excellent condition and do not have a lot of repair work to do ie: cutting up the briscuit or slashing the neck , I must be able to look at the cape so if frozen will be skeptical of purchasing.

Whitetail – have plenty will not be buying any this year
Blacktail/Mule deer  -
16-18.5” – 75.00
19-21” – 85.00
21.5 and larger – 95.00

Elk
23-27” – 100.00
27.5 – 30 – 125.00
30.5 and larger – 135.00

All capes must have hunters name, license number and tag number.
I will only PAY CASH  for specimans, I will not give credit towards work you want completed. If you want work completed by me we can keep transactions separate in my opinion that is the best way.
At this time I am only interested in 3-5 capes of each species so if you get one let me know…

If you are not sure how to cape it out just bring it to me and I can do it for you and show you how to do it.

Also if you have been considering me as a taxidermist, the same thing applies, if you are unsure bring it to me I will show you how. I do not charge extra for this. I would rather show you and have it done right, it makes mounting them a lot easier.

Deer - 450.00 less than a year turn around
Elk - 700.00+  less than a year turn around
Bear - 125.00 a foot less than a year turn around

My website is          www.Alivingmemorytaxidermy.com          if you want to look at some of work.

I hope everyone has an excellent hunting year, and I wish you all the best of luck.

Thanks

Joe,

Where are you measuring the capes to make the grade determination?

Yeah where should I measure them?  I thought it was just below the jaw line at the base of the head but not sure.

3 inches below the ears, when you measure them have the cape laying naturally.

Thanks for asking

Ok thanks. Where I hunt in Montana they have a program to trade in your hide and they send them off to China or something. Would much rather GIVE you a cape for nothing than trade it in for a $4 pair or gloves and have them send it overseas!!

Yes there is a lot of people that trade their capes in. But a lot of times I understand that they don't know how to properly cape them out. But I am willing to show anyone and do it for free for them.

Good luck in your hunting adventurs this year, and if you get one and you want to get rid of the cape give me a call.

2 elk capes
1 mule deer cape
1 Blacktail cape.

Still looking for more capes if anyone has one that they want to get rid of. I will skin it  out for you all you have to do is bring it to me, takes 29 minutes..
