Subway games at skookum archers
« on: July 07, 2014, 08:25:42 AM »
American 900 tournament at skookum in puyallup Saturday. Anyone going? Looks fun, it will be my first time shooting this kind of shoot. Tshirt for everyone and medals for top finishers.

40yds, 50yds, 60yds, 30 arrows each yardage, 6 arrows per group.

Here's some pics of previous years to get an idea for what it is.

My wife and I are going to shoot it. I shot in it two years ago. Lots of arrows and I like that. Gonna be hot so bring plenty to drink.

Fun times. Was a new experience for me. Got to bring out my vantage elite for the first time in an actual shoot. I usually just shoot 3D with my hunting bow, but  punching paper is a nice change of pace every once in a while.

It is a nice change from 3D's. I also like safari shoots. Not sure if you saw me there or not, I was the only guy shooting a camo bow, only guy shooting a bow with a bow quiver on it and full of hunting arrows.  Lane #4.
What lane were you on?

You were the guy with the Z7? That was some good shooting. I liked the way it was set up.
I was in lane 3. The only one who put on the subway games shirt.  :chuckle:

Were you guy I talked to about those bow holders?
I'd say that your group shot some pretty nice groups also.

Bowpredator, Sorry bud. I didn't know you even shot these kinds of shoots.

Sean, Wade and the other two always shoot like that. Sean won it with a 894 or 896. Shawn won a gold medal in Hungary a couple years ago. Good shot and nice guy. Wade is also. Sean gives lessons in Great Northwest Archery. Wade is the owner of Brite Strings http://www.britestrings.com/
