name that skull?
« on: December 03, 2008, 08:27:41 PM »
I was out bird hunting this afternoon and came across this skull.  I am thinking domestic cat, small bobcat, or coon.  I've never seen a coon skull.  It was way out in the middle of nowhere (10 miles to nearest farm house) so if it was a domestic it was a wanderer or a yote or bird had to carry it a long ways.  Any thoughts?

It is a cougar skull

No question its a bobcat here are some photos to compare to.  Sorry for the flash and I have no 2 3/4 so its a 3.  The only thing I see that is weird is it has short k-9s.  Cool find!

Saw a skull like that last year elk hunting but wasn't sure if it was a bobcat or young cougar.  It was a bobcat, COOL!!
