Hunting blondes
« on: December 03, 2008, 09:23:57 PM »
Fishseeker told me I should post this picture of a buck I got in '89 on the late hunt when you could still hunt the Stillaguamish unit on the late hunt. The game biologist I talked to at the time told me to have one completely blonde was one in fifty to one hundred thousand. I got the hide done with hair on also. I got it Mt. Pugh at Skull Creek, Mt Loop Road.

Nice buck, but no way 160, maybe 140, all of the tines are under 7" but 1, There is also something with the scoring if the width excedes the beam length? right

That's a REALLY misleading thread title, but I love the that deer. Unique.

That darn thing was not to fun to get down the Mountain. There was several guys that had been hunting it. Word got out we were bringing it down and we had abunch of people waiting when we hit the road. Oh I was still kinda gimpy from back surgery and every time we stopped to rest I think that darned thing ate more! LOL
