Hammered them in Westport
« on: July 14, 2014, 06:16:49 PM »
With some advice from one of our own- Thanks Del , we headed - (Followed) Del across the bar to check out a different area....  We got into them almost immediately after arriving to fishing area.  We took home 16 fish (limits) for our efforts, released alot of others and lost several - aka long distances releases - used bino's to prove they were Natives...lol

Down part - two separate occasions - one guy (not me) driving my boat, didn't notice crab pots and well - we lost some cable, lost some braid, lost some flashers, lost some COHO Killers and a couple 12 pounders...  So if you happen to find my balls they have a "12" stamped on them, please return...lol

Have you considered switching to the Scotty Offshore Orca rod holders? Kind of like a Fulby but Scotty.

The is one in the picture on the right side of the boat...  I use them for running divers, but use the ones on the DR for trolling.........  Never ever had an issue, run the drag lighter and let the rod do the work til someone gets up from the comfy seat and finally goes after it...  lol

I use the heavy ones with metal pins through for Bottom fish and Sturgeon, but do not need something like for trolling.
