Suggestions for optics on a 458 Socom
«

What optic would you put on a 458 socom that is under $600?
I was looking at this:
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/819801/eotech-556-holographic-weapon-sight-65-moa-circle-with-1-moa-dot-reticle-matte-cr-123-battery-with-7mm-raised-base
Purpose would be a pig gun anticipated shots under 100 yards. Liking red dots or holo sights. Weight is not an issue on this one.

Checkout the Ultra Dot. They are nearly indestructible and reasonably priced. I ran one on a 500 s&w and it held up perfectly.

The Ultradots look nice.
I am going to make a decision in the next two weeks on optics. If anyone has suggestions would love to hear them!

These are very useful and provide some magnification. at 1.5 with the illumination on it's very much like a red dot.
Price includes a quality throw leaver mount.
It's a little more than your price point but worth a look IMHO

Thanks for the input.
I placed the order last week. I ordered a trijicon tripower:
http://www.opticsplanet.com/trijicon-tx30-tripower-reflex-tube-sight-power-tri-30mm.html
I have one on my AR and really like it so I thought I'd get a second one. I like that it does not need batteries, but also has the tritium and battery options as well.

I'd look for something like a Leupold 1-4 with an illuminated dot.
