It has been a slow whitetail year.  I didn't quite get my finger on it.  Must have been a bigger winterkill than I thought for them.  Great pics.  THat rub is a dandy.

Have you had much luck using the decoy? I have one and always wanted to try it but was afraid it might attract another hunter more than a buck.

way to go passing on the buck, the saying is you will never kill a big one if you shoot the first buck you see. now 120" 5-point is a nice buck with a bow!! You deserve a monster.

I would have been happy with any buck :'(. Only saw 5 deer the whole time during late modern. I would have had a hard time killing a doe :chuckle: :chuckle:. Did see one big boy though. But couldn't catch up  to him :bash:

I have passed on 3 diffrent 5x5's in my deer park spot, none being any bigger than 120, I do have a 5x5 that is 2 1/2, with excellent potential, cant wait to see him in a few years.I am pretty sure the big 5 I posted on here on trail cam pics id the one making thoses rubs. My other spot was more reliant on snow, winter area and just not getting the snow, looked promising on my cam with middle of the day pics of some nice 5x5's,but yet to see them when Iam there lol. Decoys work much better on bigger bucks, one thing they do on smaller bucks is it holds them around my stand for a long time trying to figure it out.The last 5 pt was at 5-15 yards for 15 min lol
