What is the lowest amount of points that you have ever heard of from someone getting an OIL tag?

I met a lady in '08 that drew her moose tag the first year she applied, 1 point.

The third or forth ram I mounted was shot by a little boy, 12 yrs old. It was the first time his dad put him in for the tag and also the first big game animal that he had killed.
He's been pretty lucky in the draws since then. I've also mounted a 190+ muley, a 390+ bull elk and a bison since I did his ram.

I believe one year that every OIL tag issued went to hunters with only one point...

I believe that was in 1996!

That was the same year my sheep draw odds got 400% worse.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

I think it's cool when anyone with low points draws a oil tag. It just gives a shimmer of hope no matter how many points you have.

A former co-worker drew a goat tag the first year he put in.  He only hunted 2 weekends and didn't get one.  He said he had too much work to do.  :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:  :dunno:

I know 2 people ( not hunt partners) that drew goat tags the first year they applied.
