2014 Rendezvous is one for the History Books
« on: July 21, 2014, 09:16:52 PM »
WOW, if you missed this rendezvous you missed a real good one.  :bash: :bash:

The weather was nice and no smoke around us or very little not even worth talking about.  The demo's and speakers were great and the speakers were not holding back with their tips and secretes.  There were demos on beaver, muskrats, mink, lure making, coyote trapping, skunk skinning  :chuckle: :chuckle:  :yeah: weasel trapping, knife sharpening and more.  The talking and brain picking of the speakers after their demo seemed to go on for another hour or two.

The food was great and a great idea to have from our Kitchen Cook.  Sharon and Karen are to great women that seem to never complain and step up to feed all of us.  I hope you all thank them for there work.  Sharon told us asked us Sunday at the BOD meeting that she could use another hand or two in the kitchen. So if there are anybody that would like to help in the kitchen next year contact Bruce and let him now.

One of the highlights and there were plenty was the demo/conversation with Diane Wirth about her trapping with a friend in Alaska when she lived up there.  What great stories.

The live auction was great.  I was surprise on how many people including new members and trapper training people stayed around and participated in the auction.  The prizes / items were great.  Darryl our Auctioneer keep us all laughing and bidding.

So what did you think and did you have a good time?

Will do

For some reason I can't attach any pictures  :sry: on this sight, I either can't figure it out or  :bash:
So I sent some over to Bruce and ask him to attach them here for me so hang in there and when Bruce gets a few minutes I'm sure he will.

my son and I went over with some friends, and had a great time. Kids got there trapping cards, and had fun helping at the auction (and working as waiters from the garbage can :chuckle:).
Were basically just getting into trapping, and learned a lot from some very knowledgeable guys, during the demos, and just talking to everyone. We had a great time, and glad we could make it over. Can't wait till November. Thanks everyone that put it together, and will defiantly be at the next one.
