They give out a pretty good amount of tags like that every year. It's a big unit and if you hunt hard you have a solid chance at getting a bull. Also hope the weather cools off for the hunt :yike: I have been in there when it was hot and the hunt is not as good.

Yeah but atleast you could shoot a cow, spike, or branched bull.   your odds increased of harvesting a elk.

That's for sure! I ended up punching a cow and ate my bull tag :'( Way to hot of year when I had it last.

One of these years I am going to kill a elk with horns on it's head :chuckle:

Awesome looking bulls gasman.

Thanks XJ, we got over 4000 pic in two weeks. The last time we checked, there was more activity at night but still plenty of elk coming in during day light

Got a Chocolate bear with cubs coming in to and its going to be hard to not take that sow if she shows up and Im on the stand  :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

And the "king" (bull with a crown on each side) has a son. There is a pic of a single beam elk with a crown on each side, that's it. no eye guard, no fork, main beam and 3 point crown on either side  :yike: :yike: :yike: :yike:

No but we called one in reight at dark... too dark to see him.. the next day I want to the same spot my buddy started calling (about 100 yrds down wind from me) around 7 pm had a cow run out around 7:15 she ran past all my shooting lanes so i had to stand up and move about 20 ft, let out a cow call and she stopped dead in her tracks... well untill i shot she ran about 50 more yards.. took us a bit to find her but i circled her a few times lol
