Before and after?
« on: August 11, 2014, 08:50:04 PM »
I am really curious about you guys and your trail cams. I have never used one before but my buddy and I just set one today. How many of you have actually taken an animal you got on camera before hand?  Disregard whiteys. Just muleys, elk, sheep, goats and bears NOT at a bait station. Not against it just know that does happen quite often.

So let's see some some before and after pics.  God luck on the year too.

Yeah blackies too   not trying to offend white tail hunters.  I just already know that is pretty common. But yeah ok. Let's see me all.

This is the only one I have shot that was on my camera. I ended up shooting him about 400yards from where the camera was.

I am new to the trailcam thing but I think I would rather find where the deer are hanging and find the trails they use rather than putting out bait . Besides from what I hear most of the game that gets there photo taken over bait usually is changing their behavior patterns and do not hit bait as much ..except for those whitetail ..Blacktail are hard to kill over bait ..You need to be a brush buster and I think places cameras in these areas will do you more good than not .. I plan on putting my cams back out soon and right in the heart of a Big Nasty Brush Pile  :chuckle:

I killed this buck last year. Got him on camera two years ago when he was a bigger 4X4 with bigger eye guards than last year got him again in August as a 4x3 with eye guards and ended up killing him during the second rut in the exact same spot I got him on cam. He was bedding within 100 yards.
