My First Shed find, and WTH is this?
« on: July 28, 2014, 01:48:05 PM »
Ok so about 2 months ago I found my first shed find I was overly excited, been in the woods my hole life and finally find a shed, while scouting i ran into this group of rocks that seamed to be placed their, I'm in the middle of nowhere wondering why and what and how, this structure is about 3 ft by 2 ft and dug into the side of a small hill its off the beaten path aways.  Is this a Geo Cash? and Indian burial? or just a random placement of rocks?... I donno but its got me curious

Nice selfy. the rocks are definently from Sasquatch. Please post that pic under the Bigfoot thread. Very good evidence that Bigfoot pooped there?

Now now let's not jack Terrys thread on his cool shed find with Bigfoot. Terry if you would please post your bigfoot pooping rocks under the BIGFOOT thread and then begin at the beginning on post number 1 and you will eventually be a believer like the rest of us. The shed looks good on the wall by the way.

Terry, looks like a pet burial site to me. Seems logical with the earth replaced and capped off with stones to deter varmints diggin into the site. Hope it is a pet buried there...

Where were you when you found the pile of rocks? It looks to be old, likely an infant or child's grave, could be an adults if they were mutilated, it isn't likely to be Indian that I know of, most Native Americans used burial platforms of some kind (as far as I know) or buried their dead under significant mounds of rock. 2cents :)

First thing that came to my mind was that someone made a bench to sit on during hunting season...?  :dunno: I would rather sit on soft dirt then rocks though so I don't know.

No geocache, the whole idea is to find it and take something.
I thinking a grave or maybe gear cache, Prepper?

Probably a pet grave.  Seen similar before.  Usually some place that had good memory for the owner.  I know of a few bird dogs that now rest underground in a favorite bird hunting area.

By the looks of your backdrop and by the looks of the material I would say someone was digging for agates or geodes and they tried to clean up after themselves by putting their material back as is good etiquette.  If you happened to notice any other digging in the area, that might substantiate that.
