Feeling better this year. Have my diabetes under control. Excited going to try calling doing old grades and berry area's. Lots of Distress. Fawn elk and cub sounds. A few more calls to build then I can leave. I will post pictures. Rick

Heading out myself, but most likely won't do any calling. Round our neck of the woods, the berry crop looks great. Good luck everyone!

Wish they would open the cougar season August first too. I might do more early bear calling if that was the case! Good luck to you on the bear. I need to find a new place on the coast for doing that type of hunting again.

It's a nice and cool/foggy over here on the coast this morning. Hopefully we will get some more bear pics today.

Bears have been breaking things teasing me one was close fawn bleats on my call some elk on other stands. Will be here till Friday I hope. Scout elk to. Here are some calls I'm using. Rick

The fawn call really worked for us Rick we got the first bear then tried another spot and a nice one came out but stood up and then just bolted he must have smelled us or something but he did come out to see what he heard. We have our best luck at 8 in the morning or late in the evening it's been foggy early and late here on the coast we are about a mile from the ocean.

Terrible couple days. Thing going wrong. Second trip to Forks. Air senser back to normal. Been sick today with my diabetes Dizzy . Just finished a fun stand Foxpro shockwave elk calf sound plus by hand to. Real windy. Tomorrow is old style were I have done best. Closed reed tuned Raspy. Going to get on it big time. Back to camp. Doing my best. Rick

It was hanging Friday at the upper Clearwater campground. On Friday I see the guy on his four wheeler up by yahoo lake. I'm in the copper mine campground. I'll get it done tomorrow . Rick

Different bear I guess. The one I saw looked like it had it paws cut off and partially skinned on its back before it got tossed into a creek.
Good Luck down there. It was getting so hot I came back but might go back if it cools down.

On the bear in the river. I use to put them in just gutted. Didn't have to skin for a couple days. Didn't see the one in the river. Been fun gets hot real fast. Trying to figure out a way every one once e to show them how I call. Trying to figure out something. Rick

Yes been using it all day. Calling in dark woods now. Coming home tomorrow. Lots of hunters and Indians. Monday I will be on Rayonier land. Back after them. Awsome picture. Rick
