Fall Hunt
« on: July 29, 2014, 02:33:50 PM »
I'm a long time lurker here at Hunt WA, though I rarely post. I've spent countless hours on lakes and rivers fishing and I went turkey hunting this spring but this will be my first fall as a hunter.

After doing a little google-mapping, I went camping/hiking/scouting this last weekend but ended up with no good sign to consider it a good spot to hunt. I'm hoping that someone here is willing to let me tag along for a hunt. I can spend hours reading posts or watching youtube videos (and that's all good), but nothing compares to hands-on experience. I'm willing to help pack out anything you put down. Obviously, I'd love the chance to take a shot myself.

About me: I'm a 38 yr old dad of six (hence the handle) and I work M-F. With a little notice, I could likely schedule time off. I live in the Skykomish valley and would be happy to learn to hunt in my backyard.

Thanks in advance,
Dadx6

Welcome to the forum. I'm nowhere near your neck of the woods, but you shouldn't have any trouble finding someone to hunt with where you're at. Good for you starting hunting.  I hope you're successful this fall.

Where and what are you looking to hunt and with what weapon?  That may narrow it down for people.

Thanks Pianoman, I look forward to the challenge this fall!
PS - Go Sox!

WSU, Great points! I meant to include that...

I'll be hunting modern rifle. I have my deer, east side elk, bear, and cougar tags. I'd like to learn the area along hwy 2 for convenience, but I'm willing to travel.
