Anybody fishing the river at all still? Is the bite better there? Im not real familiar with the area, so I am not sure how close the fire was to everything.

GAH i'm jealous! We tried for sockeye this year with the same setup on the Columbia river (across from the 300 area) like everyone else, didn't catch a single freaking fish. :bash:

The dams were also letting out a lot of water (why always during the salmon seasons?)

Only had two hits.
One actually stayed on for a couple seconds but got off. The barbless hook rule is killing us.

We did pretty good at Brewster over the weekend.  The first evening we only had one bite and lost it at the boat.  But the next morning we went 9 for 12 on the sockeye

They're still looking pretty good and fishing should be good for another week or 2
