When you set your game camera up where do you usually locate it and what (salt lick, etc) do you use to draw the game in?

I put mine about waist high and usually set it on a game trail or a good wallow or feeding area.

Usually set mine 20-30 yards off of a main trail. In an opening so the bulls sporting velvet aren't afraid. And I personally place mine about 8-9 feet high in a tree facing some salt!! Works for me.

I set mine up in a small clover patch 1/2 way up a ridge on public land. Lag bolted to a tree in a bear box about 5ft up. I use the 4lb red mineral blocks. Elk and deer both love'um

Either block or a bag of loose salt. Buy it at a feed store, not cabelas or Sportsmans. Feed store price is $7 for 50 pounds and it's $15 at the sports store for 15-20 pounds. Easy math, even for a bean counter.

my self I try to get away from main areas because I want my camera to be there when I get back,i know its expensive but this record rack stuff is unbelievable compare to other stuff I've used, this stuff brings them in when all that is left is the smell on the ground, moose and deer and bear on my cam almost every day when the stuff is there.ill be putting up a cam on a wallow this Monday with the red mineral lick and record rack and I'm pretty confidant the elk the farmer down the road keeps seeing will come in and pose for me !!just be sure about your camera placement and the cover around it if there is a lot of hanging branches and stuff around it the wind will cause a lot of what I like to call weather shots , nothing but moving branches on the pics,i bought stickers for my equipment that say gps monitored, and Vietnam vet please don't steal my stuff, just in hopes there is still people that have a beating heart in there chest when it comes to steeling peoples hard earned stands and cams, hey if they are that bad off try the record rack on the ground its very high in protein, and digestion!!!!

what the elk are craving in all these supplements is sodium! thats it! I dumped 50lbs of plain ole salt and get the same reults as SE or trace. Im getting at one spot 1500-2000 pics every 14 days on 1 pic 1min delay.
