Late season doe down.
« on: December 06, 2008, 06:48:36 PM »
Rut appears to be over. I couldn't seem to kill a buck. Had multiple opportunities and couldn't get it done. So I filled the freezer a little more with this doe.

I was not seeing any activity at all this week. So I went out anyway this evening for my normal last 2 hour of daylight hunt and low and behold this doe shows herself at 40 yards. I get so tired of trying to fumble around with the range finder and having the deer run off before I can make the shot happen I said forget it. She was at 40. Took the onside lung, liver and out through the backleg. She went all of 50 yards and died a quick death.

Its late but had to turn on the puter for a quick looky!

Nice job bro, I know you wanted a good buck but they just are not easy to find and then kill!

The season is over for both of us so now it is time to plan next year!!!!
I love that part of every season!!!!!

Good job!

All chopped up and ready for some white paper. Oh how tasty indeed.

The only thing not on the table is the tenderloins and they are in the fridge dry aging a little. Will probably cook them tomorrow or tuesday.

Pan sear them whole in olive oil then into the oven on 350 until done medium rare. MMM MMM good. Can't wait.
