Need light breathable tactical boots. Suggestions?
« on: August 03, 2014, 02:32:14 PM »
I had asked a bit ago about opinions for new hunting boots and I think I have made a decision pending an opportunity to try them all on. Also, I need new work boots. I work inside 90% of the time but am constantly on my feet. Some at my work prefer black athletic shoes but I want something with a little more ankle support. I am looking for something light weight and breathable. Comfort is a must but that is subjective to each person so that part will wait till I can get out and try some on. What are some good places to start though? I cant afford anything over $200 at this point with also needing new hunting boots at the same time. I have been wearing black romeos but they are heavy and dont offer much ankle support.

Definitely Under Armour Valsetz. They just came out with a new one too. Valsetz RTS. The Valsetz are about 19 oz each. The RTS's are around 15 I think. Like walking on pillows. Mine lasted about a year and a half. $119 online is the going price.

That is exactly what I was looking at before. Before I had the cash on hand the local Sportsmans had the original ones on sale for $99.99 and am still kicking myself for not being able to get a pair then.

I wear a pair of Altama boots for the early season. Light, breathable and durable. www.altama.com
