FIRST BEAR DOWN UNREAL!
« on: August 04, 2014, 07:35:36 AM »
So here is the story.  On Aug 1 i posted on the forum where to go in Concrete Wa and X-Force pmed me and gave a me a few road nothing exact, which none the less was a huge help.  So my after i got off work around 3pm i called my buddy and we headed out to buy our tags and ammo.  We headed out to concrete from Oak Harbor and arrive there after everythign about 1730.  So we crusied up the mountian nice and easy he glassed the side and the gulleys as we drove by at about 1800 he spooted a bear so we stopped and pulled off and parked.  We then headed toward the bear about 200 yards till we got spooted by the bear... mind you 200yds down hill... we set up in fear that this bear would run off... and we split up about 20 yards from each other, still about 200+ yards of the bear.  And we coordinated our shots with percision.  He shoots not sure if he hit or missed the bear jumped then stopped and looked back at up for a brief second and i shoot the bear she ran about 20 yards we lose sight of her.  We then down hill across which is un godly terrain to find the bear 20 from where we shot her. after that it took about 3 1/2 hours for us to drag this bear up hill and if you have never been to concrete, it is striaght up hill. Once we got her up we loaded her in the truck.  I am still stoked about this bear.  May not be the biggest bear, but we gueesed the weight to be around 180-200.  This bear was no joke heavy as all get out.  She was worth every single scratch, bruise, and cut.
