So closed.  Never buying this pass again.  Not just because of the fire part, but it doesn't help.

Yes a huge waste of money.
It's not just pressure from hunters. There seems to be tons of logging trucks and maintenance workers etc. Up there as well. Not enough game to make it worth it. Even on the weekdays. Too much traffic even far out past 12 Mile and now the closure.
No thanks

Of course there are tons of logging trucks. It's a tree farm. Logging operations don't bother deer. They are used to living with it every day.

Everyone will have their opinions of course. Ever had your spot busted at the crack of dawn by a guy with a dog and a chainsaw getting firewood? Opening day of modern Deer and for firewood cutting opens on the same days. Or did then.
Or think your far enough away to have a Clearcut on your own to have a guy roll through it just as a Bear was within range.
Frustrating to say the least. Just my .02

You get that in Hancock and for that matter, any timber property. I suspect the game is somewhat used to it and although not ideal, probably the same as game on a farm w/ farm equipment.

That can happen anywhere. I've had similar things happen in Eastern Washington, Western Washington, and Idaho. Unless you buy your own private land or secure exclusive access then in could happen. It's all part of hunting public land or industrial timberland.

Havent made it up a single time.  Going to go try to get some firewood at some point (by myself since my gf isn't allowed to come with).

I will not be buying in the future.  This is just unnecessary in my life.  It may be useful to others or someone who lives really close to the gate.
