Nice Melon head...
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Great bear! Due to contrary belief,  a guy doesn't have to be dressed head to foot in Sitka Gear to jam animals in the dirt ;).

Get out!  Shut the front door!  What you taking 'bout Willis! :chuckle: :chuckle:

Some might not think you should be proud of that bear since you didn't walk far enough from the road.  Don't you know that distance traveled on foot in your Sitka or Kuiu beyond where the animals are to a place only mountain goats roam is the only way you can truly call yourself a real hunter and be proud of any trophy you shoot?  Next time you will be smarter and put on your camo, place your Kifaru back pack behind you and tell a story of how you were so far back into the high country that you had to eat half the bear before getting to the truck just to replace the calorie burned in transport. Only then would that be a nice bear :tung:

Did I happen to mention...Wow!  What an August bear!

He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
